A dedicated advocate for youth and community music, Dr. Qian is the founding director of the Greater Dallas Youth Orchestra Clarinet Choir, the Baylor Clarinet Festival, Virtuosi Chamber Winds, and the Amadeus Youth Clarinet Ensemble. These initiatives have created lasting platforms for collaboration, mentorship, and performance excellence.

Through his leadership, countless young musicians have discovered their artistic identity and developed lifelong habits of discipline, empathy, and creative thinking. His philosophy is simple yet profound: technical excellence must serve expressive freedom, and education must cultivate both the mind and the heart.
