Texas 6A All-State Bass Clarinetist, GDYO Musician, 4.0 GPA Scholar

Joshua, a junior at Plano West Senior High School in Plano, Texas, studies bass clarinet with Dr. Jun Qian through the CRESCENDO Elite Training Program. Under Dr. Qian’s guidance, Joshua has consistently refined his technique and musicality through focused, advanced instruction.

A 2026 TMEA 6A All-State musician, Joshua placed 10th chair bass clarinet among the top high school performers in Texas and has earned a spot in the TMEA All-Region Band for three consecutive years. At Plano West, he performs with the premier Wind Ensemble. Following a successful 2025–26 season with the Greater Dallas Youth Orchestra (GDYO) Clarinet Choir, Joshua was named the No. 1 bass clarinetist by the conductors’ committee for GDYO’s 2026–27 season.

Alongside his musical achievements, Joshua is an outstanding scholar who maintains a 4.0 GPA, ranking among the top of his class while balancing a rigorous academic workload with his musical pursuits.
