Plano Sophomore Rising Star, 2025 Texas 6A All-Stater

Albert Luo, a talented clarinetist from Plano, Texas, is a dedicated member of the CRESCENDO Elite Training Program under Dr. Qian. His passion for music emerged early, beginning piano lessons at the age of four and steadily developing his musicality over the years.

Now a sophomore at Jasper High School, Albert serves as the principal B♭ clarinetist in the Wind Ensemble and Full Orchestra. He holds the distinction of being the only clarinetist from Jasper to earn a spot in the TMEA 6A All-State Band and has consistently placed in high chairs within his high school’s All-Region top band for two consecutive years. His musical achievements also include being a featured soloist in his school’s marching productions—performing in Carmen’s Auto (2023) and Joy (2024). Additionally, Albert has been an active member of the Greater Dallas Youth Orchestra (GDYO), performing in the Clarinet Choir, Wind Symphony, and Philharmonic Orchestra since eighth grade.

Beyond music, Albert is involved in his school’s Speech and Debate team and enjoys reading and completing VEX robotics with his twin brothers in his free time.
